I am 56 years old and have been employed in the Prison service for 35 years and am a Prison Governor at HMP Featherstone. My role is Head of Business Development and Enterprise and am responsible for prisoner employment and activities within the prison working closely with organisations, employers and training providers to deliver tangible job opportunities on release from prison.
I have spent the younger part of my life living abroad as my father served in the British forces in the army before joining the Metropolitan police where he served for five years prior to signing up for the prison service in 1985.
I have resided in Telford with my partner and children for the past 20 years.
I am currently Chair of the Board of Trustees of Crane Quality Counselling in Shrewsbury and a parent teacher Governor at Shifnal Primary School.
